Jon L. Culpepper

founded The Dallas Chamber Choir in 2014 and serves as Artistic Director, Conductor, and President of its Board of Directors. Jon started conducting at the age of 16 as Director of the Vietnamese choir at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, Houston, TX, and has held Director of Music positions at various churches in the Dallas area. Currently serving as Music Associate at All Saints Catholic Church, Dallas, he directs chamber choral and orchestral ensembles for seasonal liturgies and serves as tenor section leader, cantor, and soloist. Prior to All Saints, he sang with Dallas Bach Society, Orpheus Chamber Singers, and other professional ensembles and churches in the Greater Houston area as chorus member and soloist. His oratorio tenor solo repertoire includes: Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass, Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Stabat Mater, and Bach's Magnificat. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Philosophy from the University of Dallas, and has received theology and liturgical training at Holy Trinity Seminary, Irving, TX.

Alongside his musical pursuits, Jon has over 15 years of experience in information technology, business intelligence, and project management in various industries: real estate, database marketing, healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, and biotechnology. He holds PMP and CPHIMS certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), respectively. Jon heads the Information Technology department at Reata Pharmaceuticals, Inc, Irving, TX, and serves on the board of his homeowners association in various capacities.
